The Associate Director of Marketing - RMS will create, manage and control the development and implementation of short and long-term marketing strategies and tactics within Research Models and Services North America to ensure high level of responsiveness to customers, business partners, and the business development organization.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

•    Develop and lead the Research Models and Services North American marketing function. This role will lead the vision and execution of brand awareness, go-to-market commercial launches, and provide oversight on lead identification and engagement initiatives by working with RMS commercial team and the wider Charles River marketing operations organization. 

•    Create and scale digitally focused processes and channels to develop new leads and clients to the RMS North American commercial business.

•    Represent the marketing presence towards the wider RMS digital and e-commerce transformation from a brand, voice of customer, and cross-selling perspective.

•    Collaborate and partner with Associate Director of Marketing, Europe to ensure global alignment on initiatives and brand development.

•    Ensure maximum marketing visibility and value-based promotion.

•    Manage and have oversight on the utilization and allocation of the RMS marketing budget for North America.

•    Manage the marketing function to ensure high level of responsiveness to customers and the business development organization.

•    Develop effective relationships with key management of Research Models and Services business units and participate on commercial leadership team.

•    Develop relationships with key industry thought leaders and create a pool of knowledgeable go-to clients and ad-hoc market feedback and research.

•    Work closely with both the corporate marketing and companywide business development teams to provide input to the creation of marketing strategies and to provide leadership to support the execution of the operational objectives.

•    Identify and create synergistic marketing programs that cross product and business unit lines.

•    Manage the collection of key performance indicators and marketing insights to Research Models and Services North America and reporting of this data to senior management, in partnership with business management and corporate marketing as appropriate. Job Qualifications

•    Education:  Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in science discipline or marketing. Digital marketing experience preferred.

•    Experience:  Five to seven years related experience or equivalent in a combination of science, strategic marketing, product management, communications, and business management positions within a technical environment (e.g., biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device company, hospital, or laboratory). Has management and leadership experience in previous roles.
