Job Description

Impact:

This Role will provide email marketing execution for IPAC and North America across Life Sciences Group, Laboratory Product Group, Bioproduction Group, Bioscience Division and Genetic Science Division. Not backfilling this role will significantly impact the ability to develop, implement and deploy email campaigns across the said business functions beginning Q2 2024. This backfill ensures the digital team can effectively operate in a cost-saving manner that rebuilds the digital capability within the regions.

The role will support email operations using various digital platforms and extend the scope to explore and learn the execution processes within other digital channels.

Summary:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Email Marketing supervisor to join our dynamic marketing operations team. In this position, your primary responsibility is to manage a team of talents to develop, implement, and optimize email marketing campaigns and automation processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong email marketing background, possess skills in marketing automation, and demonstrate a technical understanding of using data, automated journeys, and triggers to build engaging customer journeys.

Responsibilities:

• Create a roadmap and develop strategies to achieve the team's goals. This involves creating action plans, setting deadlines, and allocating resources efficiently
• Delegate tasks to individual team members based on their skills, knowledge, and expertise. Effective delegation helps in distributing workload, fostering partnership, and enhancing productivity
• Be a mentor and provide guidance to team members whenever they face challenges or require assistance. This includes coaching, training, and mentoring team members to help them develop their skills and improve performance
• Fostering a sense of unity, collaboration, and teamwork among team members. Encourage collaboration, promote a positive team culture, and recognize and appreciate individual and team achievements
• Represent your team in meetings, communicate with other departments or stakeholders, and coordinate efforts with other teams. Acting as a liaison ensures effective communication and collaboration across different areas of the organization
• Lead all aspects of email campaign operations, including scheduling, list management, segmentation, and deployment
• Implement and maintain email marketing standard methodologies, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and privacy policies
• Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues related to email delivery, ensuring high deliverability rates and minimizing spam complaints
• Conduct regular quality assurance checks to ensure accurate rendering of email templates across various email clients and devices
• Optimize email templates and workflows for efficiency, scalability, and performance improvement
• Stay updated with the latest email marketing trends, technologies, and industry standards to drive continuous improvement
• Maintain email marketing software and tools, ensuring accurate tracking, data integrity, and efficient workflows
• Provide training and support to internal customers on processes and tools

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
• Experienced in email marketing operations over 6 years with minimum 2 years in managing a team is desirable
• Proficiency in email marketing platforms (Oracle Eloqua preferred) and marketing automation tools (Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) preferred)
• Proven understanding of email marketing standard processes, deliverability, list management and segmentation strategies
• Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) as a tool for data analysis
• Familiarity with HTML and CSS for email template customization is preferred
• Understanding of GDPR and CAN-SPAM Act regulations
• Excellent project management skills (Workfront knowledge preferred), with the ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines
• Strong communication (English) and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Continuous learning attitude, staying updated with emerging email marketing technologies and trends
