Job Description

Position Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for individual with chemical background, looking to develop skills within EHS field.

If you are interested in gaining some more knowledge and skills and focus on EHS category like assuring site Process safety, as well as Biosafety and Radiation safety, this role if for you!

Chemical background, to-do approach, interests in EHS and willingness to develop, fluent English and Scandinavian language is all you need to have.

We will provide you with training that will enable you to take over this position independently in some time!

You will have responsibility to ensure compliance by administrating and facilitating our Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) systems across the site and be involved in our Facilities & EHS department work. We work closely with all other functions in the company, e.g. R&D, Manufacturing, QA/QC and TechOps. The role also entails some project work providing EHS support, as well as management systems and delivering training internally.

What will you do?
  • Ensuring compliance on EHS by development and completing our EHS Management System and providing support and guidance to the organization. It’s important to develop, maintain, and enforce Safety Policies and Procedures in accordance with local and corporate program requirements.

  • Development and execution of EHS training program for employees in collaboration with department managers

  • Lead EHS deviations, root cause analyses and corrective/preventive actions as well as lead risk assessment and other EHS initiaitives.

  • Support BCP in security and business contingency planning

  • Drive continuous improvement using PPI tools, finding and driving new opportunities for productivity projects

  • Other administrative support to the team

How will you get there?

Education and experience
  • Bachelor/ Master of Science within chemical engineering, or a Chemistry related field.

  • Experience working in EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) is desirable

Personal attributes
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English and a Scandinavian language with excellent technical writing skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work, communicate and influence efficiently with impactful multi-functional teams in a matrix organization.

  • Interest and understanding of the importance of detailed quality.

  • Results oriented with a high energy, and drive.

  • An excellent teammate with the ability to give/receive constructive feedback.
