How will you make an impact?

Supply Chain Business Solutions serves as the development team in building capabilities with the highest business impact within the end-to-end Supply Chain Planning process.

The Supply Chain Business Solution Specialist will design and implement end-to-end supply chain solutions, working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams to develop fit for purpose, scalable and architecturally sound solutions that align with business objectives, optimize supply chain operations, and drive business growth.

This position will leverage and assist in the design of the SPARK (Supply chain Platform for Analytics, Reports and KPIs) data model going forward ensuring scalability and fit for purpose to meet multiple business group needs. This individual will be innovative in approaches as we leverage the SPARK model to interface with our customers in differentiating ways. Collaboration with supply chain leaders, EDP data architecture team and data governance teams will ensure the data foundation and platform is a sustainable trusted source of truth. This individual will manage change control processes to modify or augment the data foundation to ensure it is tied to approved and aligned use cases.

The successful candidate will require multi faceted set of skills and experience - having demonstrated solid expertise in supply chain planning and use of technology, expertise in the understanding of MPS / MRP or other integrated planning systems, a strong understanding of data modeling concepts and design.

Additionally this individual will need to collaborate across multi-functional business and technology teams across different Thermofisher groups and divisions as well as customers, EDP (Enterprise Data Platform) team and DGC (Data Governance Council) to ensure a coherent and aligned supply chain data strategy that supports the broader supply chain vision

What will you do?

  • Solve complex strategic and operational challenges with the use of digital technology and tools to modernize supply chain processes with the power of data
  • Translating ambiguous problems to business use cases, enhancements into detailed data requirements to incorporate into the data model and analytics infrastructure design
  • Coordinate the set up and prioritization of customer collaboration funnel – partner with supply chain and commercial leadership teams to prioritize the use of digital tools to enable outcomes
  • Utilize agile, rapid prototyping techniques to test and iteratively refine the end product / solution

How will you get here?

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management related field. Computer Science or Information Technology back ground is a plus
  • 5-10 years  years as a supply chain practitioner
  • In depth knowledge working with ERP / MRP systems with hands on experience implementing a MRP system of IBP / related planning solution
  • Experience leading teams in data optimization, automation, and inspiring change
  • Exceptional skills in Data Analysis, Data base design knowledge and SQL code programing
  • Validated capabilities in building out data-based solutions to create standardized and optimized workflows across disparate and business with multiple Enterprise solutions (ERPs)
  • Extensive influencing and collaboration skills and experience
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-functional, geographically distributed team
  • Mentality around process and systems improvements, experience in Lean practices a plus
  • Business and technical thought-leader, with experience providing technical guidance, directions to audiences who may not be technically inclined, translate solutions to business outcomes expected

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Utah is $93,800.00–$140,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
