Job Title : Sales Manager

Division/Group : Genetic Sciences Division / Clinical Next-Generation Sequencing Division, Korea

Location: Suseo (Gangnam-gu), Seoul, Korea

Our Sales Managers are in charge of leading a team of sales representatives who sell products and services within a defined territory. Our Sales Managers are accountable for ensuring the team has effective customer relations, develops opportunities for growth within an existing customer base, and assures market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced people leader who enjoys completing account planning and forecasting, analyzing business reports, and handling the performance of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the sales team to drive sales strategies to meet plans and expand business.
  • Ensure team maintains a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives
  • Assess and identify growth opportunities in strategic level by using fact-based analysis, market trends, driven data, customer needs (in particular based on KOLs’ opinions), technology advancements, etc.
  • Identify business opportunities and lead execution together with marketing, BD, TSS, and other functional teams.
  • Perform sales calls and channel relations with all customers and potential customers.
  • Research competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this data in the business plan
  • Introduce new products and services
  • Show initiative to develop programs to drive growth in any economic condition
  • Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files necessary for proper management of region
  • Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or similar discipline. Graduate degree or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years’ sales experience in life science and medical markets
  • Strong sales management experience and validated leadership abilities
  • Wealth of business understanding and business exposure
  • Sophisticated selling and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Customer-focused, results-driven, and demonstrate intuition for business.
  • Ability to develop, align and implement impactful tactical sales plans with clear objectives, quality deliverables, and key performance metrics.
  • Ability to work on problems of routine to diverse scope.
  • Good team management skills
  • Self-directed, persistent, and goal-oriented.
