This role is part of the Functional Service Partnerships (FSP) Site Payments team, which is dedicated to processing of Investigator Payments. As Project Manager Site Payments, you will be dealing with one of the most complicated periods of the life-cycle of a clinical trial, which is essential part of our business operations and is a vital function within the Integrated Clinical Solutions group. Discover Impactful Work:

As Site Payments Project Manager you will provide operational oversight of studies to ensure project deliverables and targets are met according to the highest quality standards. This role liaises with internal and external teams to provide payment status updates and identifies and resolves risks & issues. Acts as Functional Lead managing the study financial health, assists in Contract Modification development while being the primary liaison with Sponsor, Project Lead, Clinical Team Manager, etc.

A day in the Life:
  • Provides study management, ensuring that individual project targets are met and services are provided according to the highest quality standards, policies and procedures.
  • Plans and communicates to team members study specific tasks and priorities. Raises performance issues to management. Mentors and trains junior team members and study teams on site payment processes.
  • Works with the team to identify risks, build mitigation/action plans & brings up project risks appropriately.
  • Acts as Functional Lead analyzing and interpreting various financial reports to monitor project finances and ensure study financial health. Initiates Contract Modifications and ensures project is appropriately resourced.
  • Generates reports for study/program-level KPIs and metrics. Primary liaison with Sponsor, Project Lead, Clinical Team Manager, etc. Attends internal and external team meetings and provides study status updates as well as offers customized solutions to FSP clients.

Keys to Success:

Education
  • Master's degree preferably in Finance area.

Experience
  • Proven knowledge of Site Payments processes and technology. General understanding of pharma/clinical trial business and financial principles related to Site Payments.
  • Solid understanding of key principles of project management (time, quality, and cost), including solid financial competence.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, which include excellent English language. Good cultural awareness and able to adapt to audience as appropriate.
  • Customer focused style of communication, problem solving and teamwork, including establishing clear communication and escalation pathways.
  • Solid organizational, attention to detail, negotiation, presentation, self and team management skills. Demonstrated evidence of effective mentoring/leadership, supervisory ability including excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Excellent team building skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple timeline sensitive tasks efficiently and effectively. Flexible and able to reprioritize workload to meet changing business needs. Able to proactively identify, address and prevent project related issues.
  • Skilled at extracting and effectively analyzing project specific data incl. producing accurate forecast. Able to identify specific FSP client’s needs, negotiate tailored solutions, then build, and implement payment process as needed.
  • Capable of leading study related activities with little to no interaction from management.
  • Excellent technical skills and ability to quickly learn new software; advanced MS Excel; preferred experience with Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS), and/or Site Payment platform, EDC and financial systems.
  • Thorough understanding of ICH Good Clinical Practices, Country Regulatory and/or applicable tax regulations, etc. for all nonclinical/clinical aspects of project implementation, execution, and closeout.
