SUMMARY:

Responsible for various journal entries in the general ledger for assigned country/region.  Performs other accounting functions such as month-end closings, online banking, budget forecasting and audit inquiries.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Reviews, reconciles, and posts monthly accounts receivable, accounts payable and fixed asset journals into the general ledger as well as other controls required to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley.
  1. Monthly, reviews, reconciles posts, recurring, and adjustment journal entries to the general ledger.
  1. Maintains reconciliations and supporting schedules for the general ledger accounts as necessitated by regulatory requirements.
  1. Processes the monthly closing and financial analysis as directed by Line Manager.
  1. Performs appropriate analysis of expenses ensuring accurate coding, adequacy of accruals, and resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
  2. Maintains monthly analysis and reconciliation of key accounts identified for the year end audit.
  1. Provides support to the Line Manager during the audit to assist with various aspects of audit enquiries.
  1. Assists Line Manager with miscellaneous projects that may be assigned from time to time.
  1. Other Ad Hoc tasks as requested.

Qualifications

Part - qualified member of a professional accountancy body, plus strong financial and accountancy experience.Requires moderate experience working (1-2 years) in the finance department of an internationally oriented business. Experience working with a computerized accounting package is essential, Oracle Financials a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential. Requires exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, organizational and team-oriented skills. Excellent financial, communication and interpersonal skills are required. The ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines is necessary.
