With annual revenues exceeding $800M and over 1000 employees worldwide, Life Sciences Mass Spectrometry (LSMS) offers customers a complete range of high-end analytical instruments and software services that support customers within proteomics, clinical research, forensic toxicology, pharmaceutical, biotech, food safety, and environmental market segments.A day in the Life:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced team member who is interested in contributing to the development of mass spectrometers and related technologies in a highly motivated, international, and multidisciplinary team at our Bremen location. As part of our team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining high-end mass spectrometers and liquid chromatography systems. Additionally, a qualified candidate will take on the important role of safety officer, ensuring workplace safety in the laboratories.Your responsibilities will also include organizing the laboratories, which are utilized by various functional groups. You will support engineers and scientists in prototype development and contribute to the selection, installation, and procurement of new laboratory equipment and protective gear.Furthermore, you will conduct experiments and document verification measurements as part of R&D projects. Previous experience in experiment execution and documentation would be advantageous.Keys to Success:Education
- Degree in engineering, mechatronics, physics, or a related field. Alternatively, we also welcome applications from candidates with a technical education and relevant professional experience.
- Relevant practical experience with complex scientific instruments such as mass spectrometers or HPLC is advantageous. We are seeking a candidate who already has practical experience in handling such instruments and is familiar with the relevant measurement and analysis techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently are of great importance for this position. As a team member, you should have good communication and teamwork skills, as well as strong assertiveness to effectively collaborate with colleagues and drive projects forward.
