Job Description

The Mission

Our Manufacturing team in Eindhoven employs approximately 100 employees in several production departments. The teams report directly to the group leader / supervisor within the operational production department. The mission for the manufacturing team is to deliver systems on time with the defined product quality to different Customers. This is done by following the applicable work instructions and procedures and defined issue processes. This work is done in our high-end cleanrooms. We work on continually improving our performance by actively seeking feedback from our internal and external customers and by open end direct feedback to our suppliers.

The Challenge + Position

In this role you act as an assembly technician / system tester / tool owner, and you ensure that a customer specific microscope is connected and aligned according to the wishes of the end user / customer. You have the primary responsibility to work on any problems at the module or system level and involve other team members, such as direct colleagues, troubleshooters, operations engineering, or R&D. You communicate clearly in writing, and you have an active role during the daily whiteboard / Tier meetings. We are open to people with experience in similar positions who want to make a first career move. You must be driven by technical challenges, both mechanical and electrical, and enjoy working in a cleanroom environment. Our transmission electron microscope has an installation time of 4 - 5 weeks to connect, align and test before going to our end user called the Final Test group. From there all customer-specific tests and specifications are confirmed to ultimately go to our customer.

Specific responsibilities are:

  • Integration of modules and testing of complete microscope
  • Performs activities based on procedures.
  • Tests parts of systems, or systems with typical test times
  • Delivery on time of modules or microscopes with the right quality
  • Working on improvements of products and related processes
  • Independent tracing, analyses to address problems.

The Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

Secondary technical education (MBO) with at least 2 years of work experience, preferably mechanics, electronics (mechatronic)

  • Good communication skills (written and oral) in both Dutch and English
  • Experience with working in a cleanroom
  • Experience with ESD safe working
  • Experience with vacuum technology
  • Experience with electronic measuring equipment
  • Experience with Windows and other PC-based software installations
