Job Description

We have an exceptional opportunity for a Packaging Engineer to join our world-class team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in Rochester. As a Packaging Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the flawless packaging of our products, contributing to our mission of enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teams from various departments to develop efficient packaging designs by determining packaging requirements for different products.
  • Conduct testing and analysis to ensure packaging meets quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Continuously improve packaging processes and materials to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to select and qualify packaging materials.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to successfully implement packaging solutions.
  • Strictly adhere to regulatory and safety guidelines throughout the packaging process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Packaging Engineer, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of packaging materials, design principles, and testing methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $54,000.00–$81,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
