Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, No eye contacts allowed; prescriptive glasses will be provided, Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

Job Description

The Shipping coordinator will be responsible for the flow of all customer orders and all of the shipping activities at the Cork site to ensure that customer demands are met in a safe, compliant, efficient, and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities

Arrange for the collection of all shipments. Ensure all shipments are checked off prior to dispatch to ensure correct materials are dispatched and are of correct standard.

Prepare all paperwork for all shipments ex Cork site.

Work closely with and as backup to the Order Fulfilment Specialist (OFS) to meet all customer requirements for shipping.

Daily Collaboration with OFS, Planning, Quality and Warehouse team members.

Liaise with the supply chain planner(s) on product availability, order confirmation and allocation of customer orders to meet demands and with Quality on material test and release.

Achieve and maintain IATA, IMDG and DGSA certification.

Ensure compliance with Thermo Fisher Scientific, Irish and European Trade Compliance Export regulations.

Minimum Level of Education

Leaving Certificate or equivalent. Preferred: Degree or diploma in commerce, business information systems or business studies. IATA, IMDG and/or DGSA certification.

Job-Related Experience

• Technical knowledge of freight forwarding, distribution and customer service

• Knowledge of cGMP requirements and SAP

• Experience in a freight forwarding/supply chain/distribution role.
