Field Patient Care Coach

Position Overview:

The candidate will be responsible for contacting patients that are eligible for enrollment and providing necessary wellness coaching to reduce or eliminate high-risk behaviors; encouraging adoption of habits that are conducive to a higher quality of life; helping IQVIA’s patients coordinate medical care and understand any medical conditions they might have; providing primarily face-to-face coaching, counseling, consultation and referral services to manage various chronic health conditions, and lifestyle behavior changes; providing feedback, being involved in problem solving issues related to improved navigation through the healthcare system and coordinating services with the health coaching team.
The candidate will take management responsibility for timely follow-up with patients and for the flawless implementation of all IQVIA’s patient support program.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides primarily face-to-face coaching meetings for patients who suffer from critical disease. (Patient meetings could be outside Cairo in different Egypt governorates).
  • Contacts and performs initial meetings with patients who are eligible for health coaching programs during weekly field visits.
  • Visits physician clinics weekly to recruit new patients in targeted therapeutic areas.
  • Capable of instructing others to provide them with a healthier way of life.
  • Provides necessary coaching to reduce or eliminate behaviors that are considered high-risk.
  • Creates and distributes health education materials such as brochures to patients.
  • Handling and educating patients on treatment related devices that facilitate treating processes.
  • Submitting all patients’ complaints whether adverse event or quality complaints accompanied by assigned products of the program.
  • Develops care plans that are custom-tailored to individual patients.
  • Responds timely and accurately to patient needs and inquiries, ensuring assistance within the required approved script.

Requirements:

  • Strong academic track record including minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a medical field.
  • Knowledge of health-related diseases with medical background.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong motivational, persuasion and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to counsel clients of all ages, cultures and educational levels.
  • Solid experience in variety of clinical techniques.
  • Immense ability to develop a health plan.
  • A well organized and pleasing personality with self-confidence.
  • Knowledge of latest trends in health care.
  • Strong understanding of patient support programs in the life science industry.
  • Good team-based interpersonal skills but also an ability to work independently.
  • Highly motivated, energetic and has the desire to immerse him/herself in patients’ culture of wellness and support this culture.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Excel)
