Comparación cinemática, cinética y metabólica de la deambulación transfemoral bilateral con dispositivos protésicos pasivos versus motorizados

El propósito de este estudio piloto descriptivo y exploratorio es investigar: (1) cinemática y cinética de la cadera en el plano sagital y (2) consumo/costo metabólico, para la marcha transfemoral bilateral con prótesis pasivas versus prótesis motorizadas.
El estudio piloto recopilará datos de tres sujetos con amputaciones transfemorales bilaterales.
Las diferencias en la cinética, la cinemática y el consumo/costo de oxígeno al comparar componentes pasivos y motorizados pueden indicar beneficios para la aplicación clínica de dispositivos motorizados para personas con amputación de miembros inferiores.

Población de estudio
Individuos con amputación transfemoral bilateral que deambulan a nivel comunitario.
Los individuos son ambulatorios con dispositivos protésicos no motorizados.
Descripción
Criterios de inclusión:
- Masculino o femenino
- Todas las causas de amputación de extremidades: congénita, traumática, vascular, recuperación de extremidades, infección.
- Todas las longitudes de muñón transfemoral: desarticulación articular, largo, medio, corto, muy corto.
- Los sujetos actualmente caminan diariamente con prótesis de tipo completamente pasivo.
- Los sujetos caminan sin dispositivos de asistencia O con bastón de un solo punto.
- Andadores de alto nivel de actividad
Criterio de exclusión:
- Edades < 18 o > 45 años
- Comorbilidades médicas o condiciones existentes que puedan impedir la capacidad de los sujetos para completar el protocolo excluyendo las amputaciones.
- Medicamentos actuales o intervenciones farmacéuticas que pueden impedir la capacidad de los sujetos para completar el protocolo.
- Cualquier componente protésico motorizado o prótesis, incluidos, entre otros: Ossur Proprio Foot, BiOM o BiOM T2 System Foot, Ossur Power Knee, Ossur Symbionic Leg.
- Sujetos que requieren un andador, muletas, bastón cuádruple u otros dispositivos de asistencia, excepto un bastón de un solo punto.
- Andadores de bajo nivel de actividad
