発熱と白くならない発疹は、救急部門で比較的一般的な症状です。 発熱と白くならない発疹のある少数の子供は、生命を脅かす感染症にかかっています。 現在、緊急の治療が必要な子供と単純なウイルス性疾患の子供を区別することは非常に困難です。
PIC 研究の目的は、これらの深刻な感染症を早期に診断する方法を研究することです。
研究からのデータは、現在の慣行の有効性をテストし、現在の慣行を改善できる領域を特定するために使用されます。
