146 人の成人患者を対象とした、部分的に盲検化された転帰評価を伴う多施設 2 群ランダム化比較試験。 適格性分析とインフォームドコンセントの後、参加者はダブルチャンバーシリンジ (アーム A) または従来型シリンジ (アーム B) を使用して、通常の薬物の静脈内投与とその後のフラッシュ手順を受けます。 結果の評価は、非盲検研究チームによって、両グループで同じ手順で毎日実行されます。 静脈炎や浸潤などの主要な転帰も、盲目の研究チームの看護師によって評価され、1 日 1 回登録されます。

包含基準:
- 整形外科に入院している18歳以上の患者。
- ポルトガル語で完全にコミュニケーションできる患者。
- 同意できる患者。
- 静脈内治療投与用に処方された PIVC。
- PIVC は少なくとも 24 時間持続すると予想されます。
- PIVCは整形外科で挿入されます。
- PIVC サイズ 18 ゲージ (G) または 20 G。
- 腕、前腕、または手の甲の解剖学的挿入部位。
- PIVC は透明な半透過性ポリウレタンフィルムドレッシングで固定されます。
除外基準:
- - 既知の感染症を患っている患者。
- 白血球増加症の患者。白血球数 1200/mm3 以上と定義される。
- ヘモグロビン値が男性で13g/dl未満、女性で12g/dl未満の貧血患者。
- 入院前6か月以内に免疫抑制治療を受けている患者。
- 入院前6か月以内に化学療法または放射線療法を受けている患者。
- BMI が 16 kg/m2 未満、または 39 kg/m2 を超える患者。
- 屈曲領域の解剖学的挿入部位 (例: 肘窩領域)またはその下部メンバー。
- 挿入部位の皮膚病変(例: 過去の浸潤、皮膚炎、火傷)および入れ墨などの皮膚の変化。
- 以前の入院に起因する末梢静脈の変化。
