主な目的: Wake Forest Baptist Health とチャペルヒルのノースカロライナ大学の 2 つの大規模な医療ネットワークから募集された 1318 人の患者の無作為化された実用的な臨床試験で、LCS の受信に対する mPATH-Lung の有効性を判断します。
副次的な目的:
- mPATH-Lung に組み込まれた価値観の明確化の演習と、少なくとも 50 人の患者に対する補足的な半構造化インタビューを通じて、LCS を受けるか受けないかという患者の決定の原動力を解明します。

2022 年 2 月に更新された、肺がんスクリーニングのメディケア基準を満たしています。
- 年齢 50 ~ 77 歳
- 少なくとも 20 パック年スモーク
- 現在の喫煙者または過去15年以内に禁煙した
- 今後 3 ~ 4 週間以内に、医療ネットワーク内のプライマリ ケア プロバイダーを受診するようにスケジュールされている
- 患者ポータル アカウントまたは携帯電話番号が電子カルテに記載されている
除外基準:
- 電子カルテで言語通訳が必要であるとフラグが付けられた患者 (電子メッセージと介入は英語のみで配信されます)。
肺がん検診が不適当と思われる方:
- 肺がんの既往歴
- 過去12か月以内の胸部CT
- より短い平均余命を予測する病状のある人
- 自宅住所がノースカロライナ州内にない患者。 (遠隔医療ガイドラインによる)

プラセボコンパレーター:普段のお手入れ(CONTROL)
対照群に無作為に割り付けられた参加者には、肺がん検査を受ける資格があることが通知され、興味がある場合は医療提供者に相談するよう指示される。
