Retrospectieve analyse van capsaïcinepleister bij complex regionaal pijnsyndroom
Capsaïcine-pleister8% bij complexe regionale pijnsyndromen bij volwassenen: een retrospectieve analyse
Complex regionaal pijnsyndroom is een pijnlijk syndroom dat vaak secundair is aan een traumatische laesie. De behandeling is moeilijk, van lange duur met wisselende uitkomsten. Patch van capsaïcine is voorgesteld als adjuvans voor een multimodale behandeling. Capsaïcine kan werken door zijn effect op voorbijgaande receptorpotentieel vanilloïde 1. Werkzaamheids- en uitkomststudies met deze behandeling ontbreken.
Het doel van deze retrospectieve studie is om de pijnintensiteit in de loop van de tijd te evalueren, beoordeeld op een visuele analoge schaal bij patiënten met een complex regionaal pijnsyndroom die naast hun gebruikelijke behandeling worden behandeld met een capsaïcinepleister.

Inclusiecriteria:
- Volwassen patiënten met complex regionaal pijnsyndroom op maximale medische behandeling
- Leeftijd ≥18 jaar
- Patiënten behandeld tussen 2012 en 31 augustus 2022 in de pijnkliniek van het UVC Brugmann
Uitsluitingscriteria:
- onvolledig medisch dossier
