Job Description

As a member of the Molecular Cloning Innovation R&D team, you will be responsible for development of new Molecular Biology Tools products, improvement, and troubleshooting of existing manufacturing and quality testing technologies. You will need to be self-motivated and handle independent tasks with the understanding of how those tasks tie into the bigger picture.

Please note, this is a Fixed Term Contract until February 2026.

What will you do?

  • Investigating, optimizing, and developing the new methods and technologies of DNA cloning. Responsible for performing research and leading for product development projects and products.

  • Maintain an advanced level of documentation and communication through timely and thorough drafting and execution of protocols, reports, and experimental summaries in support of process development activities.

  • Interacting with and becoming involved with local and global teams by providing project updates and data summaries to relevant parties. Interacting local with other departments such as quality assurance (QA), manufacturing, marketing, and project management in support of new product development.

  • Innovating and providing technical justification for novel concepts and approaches. Anticipating potential problems and design preventative solutions. Supporting continuous improvement efforts (e.g. improved sensitivity, reduced turnaround time etc.).

  • Performing fundamental literature and patent searches related to activities. Collaborating with Intellectual Property colleagues to determine freedom to operate capabilities and novelty of discoveries.

  • Collaborating with customers and commercial partners.

  • Evaluating, purchasing, and operating various process development and analytical equipment.

  • Mentoring, providing guidance, and training less senior personnel. May assume a leading role in providing solutions to difficult problems associated with specific projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

  • PhD in the area of Life Sciences: Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology with experience working in a similar role

  • Knowledge, experience, and competency in molecular biology techniques, especially in DNA Cloning. Strong knowledge of relevant scientific fields.

  • Knowledge and experience in laboratory procedures and use of equipment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data analysis software (e.g. VectorNTi, SNAPGene, GraphPad Prism, JMP, etc..).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • A team player who is open to feedback and works well within a larger group.

  • Self-motivated with a genuine desire to learn and develop your skills

Monthly salary from 3,375 to 5,062.50 Eur before taxes and additional benefits package.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Lithuania is €40,500.00–€60,750.00.
