At the Brisbane site we specialise in GMP manufacturing and commercialisation of large molecule biologics, applying powerful single-use technologies and a confirmed manufacturing approach. This allows us to serve the needs of Small/Emerging, Mid-Sized, and Large Pharma sectors globally. The network of Patheon’s drug substance manufacturing sites includes St. Louis, USA, Groningen, Netherlands, and Brisbane, Australia.

How will you make an impact?

As Administrative Services Co-ordinator you will be part of diverse, complex, and dedicated team, with a focus on supporting the Supply Planning Team of biopharmaceutical production.

This job will be assisting Procurement Specialist for all purchasing activities related to the site. This role includes procurement of materials for production, quality control and any other procurement forDepartments as and when required. Role involves working with MRP (Material Requirement Planning) and Procurement module system in SAP Business By Design. Therefore understanding of MRP system and experience in any ERP system is a key Criteria. In addition to above, this role requires to handle material master data, acknowledge purchase orders, and coordinate with warehouse team and finance team for timely supplier invoice processing.

Key Responsibilities:Tasks: Procurement Supporto Create purchase orders based on MRP and user requests.o Effective supplier communication to bring materials on time based on productionscheduleso Acknowledge Purchase Orders based on confirmed delivery dateso Handling the supplier registration processo Maintain and handle Price lists in SAPo Assist Supply Planning / Purchasing Team as and when required.o Report generation on monthly KPIs for the supply chaino Process improvements in procurement activities where required

Strong communication skills

o Operational material management

Generate backorder report for Quality department requirement and act as theprimary contact.o Create/update material master details with up-to-date informationo Generation of purchasing related reports (Spend reports, consumption reports)o Be the contact point between organization users and Procurement to understandPurchasing requirements and find possible sources.

Accounts Payable support

o Provides relevant support for finance team in invoice processing by collaborating closely withwarehouse to ensure invoices are paid in timely manner.o Production reconciliation.o Clearing invoices using AP software. Othero Maintain excellent customer service – internally and for when dealing with suppliers / transportation companies. Projectso Collaboration on special projects as needed

Responsibilities Correct, complete, timely and consistent administration of all procurement activities tocGMP standards. Compliance to site EH&S rules. Participate in warehouse process improvement activities

SAP (or other ERP) system experience.

GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) experienceHighly proficient in use of Excel is required.Inventory, Finance and materials management experienceExperience working in a manufacturing facility

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Proven team member of effective teams. Strong organisational, scheduling, and planning skills. Ability to work unsupervised. Good communication, flexibility, reliability, and assertiveness. Responsible and proactive.

What will you bring to our team?

  • Tertiary education in a science or engineering-based field (i.e. biopharmaceutical manufacture, biotechnology, process technology).

  • Two to Three years of purchasing experience, preferably in a GMP manufacturing environment.

  • High-level PC and software skills including the use of ERP systems

  • Science experience related to the pharmaceutical industry is preferred but not required.

  • Sound knowledge of GMP/GLP regulations in cGMP/cGLP manufacturing environment.

Other Job Requirements:

  • Support your team SMEs in performing troubleshooting, supply to the transfer/implementation and understanding of relevant new technologies/equipment, and train co-workers including approval of on-the-job training.

  • A proactive demeanour and initiative to identify and overcome practical problems, with minimal direction to deliver sustained improvement in the site key performance indicators of Right the First Time and On Time Delivery

  • Review, revise and author manufacturing batch records, SOPs, logbooks, and validation protocols.

  • Adhere to the Patheon cGMP Quality Management System and the Patheon EH&S requirements.

  • Adhere to OHS policies and procedures and ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment.
