Reporting into the Finance organization as a Center of Excellence, the Senior Finance BI Analyst will be working closely across the entire matrix of divisions and functions. You will be responsible for analytics and dashboard development to help the business hone useful insights that drive overall efficiency, productivity, and revenue. The ideal candidate will have strong intuition for business and communication skills, combined with significant experience in data analysis, Power BI development, combining data from multiple data sources, SQL and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be able to ‘tell a story’ using advanced analytics and data visualization techniques
  • Derive data driven insights in close partnership with Finance, Operations, Commercial, and Data Science teams to expose opportunities for revenue and cost optimization
  • Leverage visualization tools such as Power BI and SAS Visual Analytics to perform interactive data exploration that help businesses and senior leaders understand impact of seen opportunities
  • Support the maintenance and development of the centralized reporting environment
  • Develop reporting solutions that set a higher standard in terms of analytical insight and user experience
  • Build and maintain data models within Azure Analysis Services and Databricks
  • Lead reporting solutions from ideation, development to end user training
  • Build and manage multiple projects, including milestones, deliverables, and communications
  • Ensure the quality and correctness of the data through validation and reconciliation
  • Build data governance with scalable processes, refresh scheduling, and monitoring of report quality
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Statistics, or a related field, Master’s preferred
  • 2-4 years’ experience building dashboards and reporting solutions with PowerBI
  • Expertise in programming languages (SQL, DAX, Python) and experience with cloud stack technologies (AWS, Redshift, Azure AAS)
  • Experience analyzing large, complex data sets yielding opportunities for revenue and/or process improvement within an organization
  • Experience in a financial function preferred to best understand the data and customer base
  • Consistent track record of achieving desired results without direct report authority
  • Ability to problem solve and scale solutions
  • Understanding of data lakes and relational databases is required
  • Highly numerate, with the ability to analyze, model and interpret data
  • A passion for accuracy with high levels of attention to detail
  • A focus on delivering a quality product to specification and within agreed timelines
  • Interpersonal skills: exceptional verbal/written communication, listening and presentation skills
  • Proven track record of achieving desired results without direct report authority
  • Minimal travel required
