Job Description

The Director, North America Serum Business position is a highly visible & impactful position within the business and division. The primary responsibilities will include managing the overall P&L, across multiple customer segments and channels while leading a broad highly matrixed team.

This position is a key contributor in leading the overall business with the broader sera leadership team to ensure delivering top and bottom-line results.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development and execution of the overall business strategy of the North America Serum Business
  • Delivers on financial commitments; effectively manages P&L to optimize financial performance and meeting margin expectations of the business
  • Partners with Global Serum Business leadership on formulating North America pricing strategy, including list price, discount guidelines, channel price points & review/approve big deal pricing with business leadership.
  • Lead NA Serum Sales Team(s) & partner with broader Commercial organization in delivering on revenue and market share objectives 
  • Work collaboratively with other functional managers within sera business segments and key functional partners across the organization.
  • Lead a matrixed North America supply chain operations team including Operations, Sourcing, Planning, Inventory Management and Regulatory
  • Develop & implement supply strategy while fostering strong key strategic supplier relationships
  • Communicate with senior leadership on key relevant market conditions, regulatory changes and operating metrics
  • Develop key talent and functions within NA Serum team members

Minimum Qualifications (must have)

  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in leading a regional business or function, preferably Commerical Operations, Sales &/or Supply Chain
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix management structure and partner seamlessly within the organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Supply Chain, Life Sciences or a related field, MBA preferred
  • Ability to work autonomously and work on projects of diverse scope and moderate to high complexity
  • Demonstrated ability to make complex decisions in ambiguous circumstances
  • Proven ability to identify and implement upon strategic opportunities, set aggressive objectives, and drive key business priorities
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills
  • Experience working & leading within a heavily matrixed global organization
  • Capable of working/communicating with all layers of the organization and customers
  • Influences without authority to motivate and manage cross functional, geographically dispersed teams and drive them to deliver results
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry
  • Continual track record of delivering year over year organic growth, cost saving and operational efficiency improvements
  • Strong relationship building, project management and planning/prioritization skills
  • Experience mentoring others across & down the organization
  • Track record of communicating high-level information to multiple audiences, including scientists, executives and non-scientific personnel
  • Up to 25% travel required both domestic and international.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $175,000.00–$200,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
