How you will make an impact:

As an Application Scientist in the Life Science OMICS Research Team - you will be the resident subject matter authority for mass-spectrometry based tools and workflows for the core proteomics market. A critical member of the marketing team, together we will enable our customers to accelerate their science by supporting experimental capabilities for new applications and products!

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and diligent individual who is passionate about science. You will have superb interpersonal and communication skills relevant to the role as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of peers, commercial sales, and marketing.

What you will do:

  • Design and implement experiments that translate instrument performance capabilities into scientifically meaningful data and results to demonstrate product value.

  • Develop and implement strategic application plans that enable the generation of outstanding data examples, and product technology evaluations to support R&D, marketing, and field sales

  • Generate and deliver application-related material for internal and external training

  • Assist in developing informative content for marketing campaigns, examples include but not limited to company hosted websites, videos, seminars, eLearning material etc.

  • Prepare and present data to existing and potential customers, either as part of the sales process or at organized events such as scientific conferences or Thermo Fisher sponsored User Meetings

  • Ensure all relevant information is communicated to product marketing and sales

  • Offer application support to collaborators and customers when appropriate

How you will get here:

  • Minimum Master’s degree in science (chemistry, biology, or related field) with 5+ years of industrial experience is required or a Ph.D. degree with 2+ years of experience is preferred.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in LC/MS operation, troubleshooting and applications preferably on Orbitrap systems

  • Practical experience with bottom-up quantitative and qualitative workflows such as label-free and TMT quantitation, PTM analysis and single cell proteomics.

  • Hands-on experience in Metabolomics is a plus.

  • Hands-on experience in Translational proteomics is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills required

  • Skill to pick up new technologies quickly and ultimately troubleshoot independently

  • Strong communication skills and a proven track record of working with diverse levels of customers and internal employees

  • Ability to develop high levels of credibility and forge proven and positive professional relationships with customers, peers, and business partners

  • Up to 25% travel, domestic and international

Monthly salary from 3,375 to 5,062.50 Eur before taxes and additional benefits package.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Lithuania is €40,500.00–€60,750.00.
