As Project Manager (m/f/d) within Operations Strategy & Projects you will belong to a growing team which leads and implements the project pipeline.You will lead cross-functional teams mainly to deliver medium and large machine projects. The project teams are based in Freiburg. You will manage many international contacts to suppliers and within Thermo Fisher Scientific globally.Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for machine investment projects in all project phases (planning, concept study, pre-study, execution, user requirement specifications, FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ, commissioning etc.)
  • Involved in the strategic work of site development and planning and controlling of investments
  • Identifying, documenting and communicating project status, plans, issues, timelines, action items, changes to scope, and project risks to ensure that projects are well-planned and have a high probability of being completed on-schedule and within scope
  • Organize and facilitate project team meetings and steering group meetings, ensuring alignment with internal and external partners
  • Continuous improvement of our work routines and procedures within Thermo Fisher Scientific

Keys to Success:

  • M. Sc. Engineering in mechanics, process management, biotechnology or similar. A project management certification is positive.
  • Profound experience from investment and machine projects (preferable coating, packaging, assembly, filling)
  • Working record from the diagnostics, medical device or pharma industry
  • You can easily communicate in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • As a focused and organized teammate, you have the ability to build efficient, cross-functional teams
  • You are open-minded and show flexibility and act agile in a changing environment
  • Ability to understand and translate the business needs into project requirements
