Job Description

Thermo Fisher is seeking a highly motivated and detailed individual to serve as Product Manager Specialist III, Marketing & Sales Data.  The position will coordinate development of the data roadmap including identification, collection, and unification of Marketing and Sales data for use across marketing technology products.  You will work cross-functionally with Digital Marketing, Sales, and Data Science to identify data needs, define requirements, and leverage data systems to drive efficiency and revenue.  This role will also lead all aspects of global data privacy compliance for the Digital Marketing and Sales enterprise.  The ideal candidate will possess a combination of business and technical skills they will apply as part of the team to achieve the role's objectives.

A day in the life:

  • Strategic Leadership and Planning -- Leads project discovery, requirements definition, metrics analysis, and works with IT and business teams to facilitate development of new capabilities in Data Management.  Develops the product and feature roadmap for data use in Marketing and Sales solutions
  • Data Collection – Identifies, collects and on-boards 1st party, 2nd party and 3rd party data. Responsible for the enhancing, scaling, optimizing and adoption of product area capabilities across Thermo Fisher Scientific business divisions
  • Data Matching – Deploys capabilities for customer matching across various data sources
  • Customer Segmentation & Insights – Manages and evaluates new technologies for building and activating audience segments and data insights
  • Data Quality – Develops strategy for enrichment, normalization and cleansing of data
  • Data Privacy - Responsible for global data privacy compliance across Digital Marketing.  Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Measurement - Defines metrics and dashboards for measurement and tracking of data health. Performs business and financial analysis, monitoring, and reporting. Builds cases to support new capabilities with validated revenue and profitability gain.
  • Develops strategies and capabilities to use artificial intelligence and machine learning for management of data
  • Researches competitor dynamics and capabilities, voice of the customer and customer wants/needs; subject matter authority in the area of customer data
  • Works cross-functionally to ensure on time and quality delivery of initiatives by balancing the business needs versus technical constraints, and identifying issues and risks to drive solutions
  • Performs marketing maturity evaluations across Thermo Fisher businesses and regions to assess data quality and readiness for utilization of data for marketing purposes
  • Interacts with Sr. Manager/Director/Sr. Director Leadership; leads by influence, engages with cross-functional teams; supports continuous improvement
  • Coordinates among internal partners to ensure alignment of objectives with company goals

Keys to Success:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years related experience (Data Systems, Marketing and/or Sales Technology, Data Privacy, or Digital Product Management)
  • Proficient in Data Systems
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Platform, or other customer data platform, preferred
  • Experience with Demandbase, or other account-based marketing platform, preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Proven record to bridge the gap between IT and Marketing and communicate fluently across both technical and business audiences
  • Outstanding verbal/written communication skills including facilitation and consensus building skills
  • Excellent project management skills including the ability to formulate and drive detailed plans and key performance indicators to report on the health of each project
  • Collaborate with cross-functional areas (IT, Business Marketing, Sales, eBusiness, Digital Marketing, Finance) and third-party vendors throughout project definition and execution.
  • Able to establish relationships with key individuals for efficient partnership
  • Develop and present communications, frequently to senior leadership, communicating the desired message, at the appropriate level, for the right recipient

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Pennsylvania is $83,000.00–$130,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
