Market Intelligence Analyst I

Position Summary:

The Market Intelligence Analyst I is a 9-month fix term contract with the Market Intelligence Team in Comparator Sourcing Services within the Clinical Trial Division (CTD), part of the Pharma Services Group (PSG).

In this role, you will craft product and market reports that provide intelligence to customers and internal team members on comparator drugs used in clinical trials. You will also support the Business Development and Strategic Sourcing departments by generating insights into market trends and dynamics, the competitive landscape, the regulatory environment and other aspects of the pharmaceutical industry. Additionally, you will work on critical initiatives, developing market intelligence solutions.

The position is based in Switzerland: Basel (Allschwil).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate in-depth drug market intelligence reports for customers with comprehensive analysis on sourcing solutions for comparator drugs globally that include pricing, volume, lead-time, shelf life, biosimilar/generic alternatives and market conditions
  • Leverage newsfeeds and industry relevant white papers to collect relevant market information which includes product shortages
  • Research, develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of data sources, evaluating their credibility and potential utility
  • Develop strategic market intelligence solutions

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Biology, Biochemistry, or a Life Sciences related field
  • Master’s degree with exposure to Drug Development, Clinical Trials, Pharmaceutical Regulation, or related is preferred

Experience

  • Experience in business analytics in the pharmaceutical field preferred
  • Understanding of clinical trials, drug development and other pharmaceutical business services preferred
  • Knowledge about the biosimilar development process and current landscape is a plus
  • Experience in Regulatory Affairs and/or drug patents is helpful
  • Passionate about continuous learning
  • Structured approach, strong analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail
  • Good at handling ambiguity
  • Good interpersonal relationship skills that promote collaboration across the organization
  • Ability to work autonomously, a bias for action and perseverance
