Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is in search of an exceptional Product Management Specialist III to become part of our world-class team. Joining our Diagnostics Product Management team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the expansion of our High-Value and Specialty Diagnostic products within the Fisher Healthcare Portfolio. This role provides a unique chance to be involved in advanced technologies and engage in cross-functional collaboration to drive the success of our healthcare market division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own all facets of supplier activities to ensure compliance with company practices and business goals
  • Support Product Managers in conducting key supplier Business Reviews and nurture lasting business relationships
  • Implement performance metrics to report back to suppliers
  • Negotiate supplier rebate contracts and marketing agreements to drive revenue growth
  • Deploy direct strategies to identify and source new suppliers and products
  • Attend industry conferences to stay updated on emerging technologies
  • Work closely with Business Development and Legal to negotiate favorable terms with new suppliers
  • Develop and coordinate new product launches and marketing promotions with suppliers
  • Maintain cross-functional relationships with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination
  • Cultivate relationships between HMD and self-manufacturing divisions to promote and sell Thermo Fisher Scientific solutions
  • Address market and product challenges with support from suppliers
  • Augment pricing and positioning strategies within the portfolio to ensure profitable growth
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive revenue and align with company objectives

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree with major/minor in sciences/business required
  • MBA or graduate degree preferred

Experience:

  • 3+ years' experience with medical or scientific products, clinical diagnostics, product management, marketing, or sales
  • Fundamental understanding of group purchasing organizations and their impact on clinical decision-making
  • Knowledge of clinical laboratory products and applications, or comprehension of customer requirements in laboratory products

Skills:

  • Strong business and financial acuity
  • Self-starter with the ability to implement plans with minimal supervision
  • Strong ability to interpret and make informed decisions based on data analysis
  • Confidence to negotiate and maintain relationships with senior-level supplier partners
  • Ability to offer informed recommendations based on both quantitative and qualitative data
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, customer orientation, presentation, and problem-solving skills
