The main responsibilities of the successful candidate are based on building new and long-term customer relationships, which will ultimately generate sales. In addition, you will be responsible for covering vacant positions within our sales organization, supporting our customers, and providing the best possible sales representation for Thermo Fisher Scientific.Location: Darmstadt/Hessen Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the account manager with sales opportunities of new and existing customers and successfully manage the sales of company products and services to achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plan
  • Coordinate sales processes in the accounts for an assigned geography in accordance with approved sales and marketing plans
  • Participate in sales, product and systems training, marketing campaigns, special projects as presented by the Company to develop appropriate selling skills
  • Support the assigned sales manager in negotiations with customers. Preparation and follow up of sales quotations
  • Regular updates to team leaders and management on sales numbers in collaboration with the supported sales manager
  • Maintain and increase current customer database through customer relation’s management software (CRM)
Experience/Qualifications/Qualities:
  • Minimum BSc within Life Sciences required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in German and English (at least B2 level) is mandatory
  • Strong capabilities to interact effectively with all customer types
  • Ability to function effectively in a high performance team
  • Talent to manage and prioritize time effectively and successfully complete tasks assigned
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and desire to succeed
  • Exhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing business environment
  • Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or similar programs required. Previous experience with CRM a plus
