Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

Under general supervision, repairs and maintains machinery and equipment such as motors, pneumatic equipment, conveyor systems and production machines. Specializes in electrical and controls automation systems. If you have prior experience in a maintenance role, we encourage you to apply for this position today.

A day in the Life:
  • Assist the Maintenance Team Leader, when necessary, in the installation or repairs of utilities systems and equipment and equipment components for electrical power distribution, instrumentation and controls, electrical machinery, responsible for knowledge of codes and standards.
  • Follow quality standards in accordance with company policy and cGMP and FDA requirements.
  • Troubleshoot & support manufacturing equipment and facility equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.

Keys to Success:

Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent minimally required
  • An associate degree in a technical field like electrical, automation or mechatronics is preferred.
  • Trades certificates/diplomas or degrees preferred but experience can be substituting in lieu of the certificates/degrees

Experience
  • Maintenance experience and/or combination training in the following trades: electrical, electronics/controls.
  • Allen Bradley PLC experience is a plus.
  • Other equivalent electrical experience may be considered, but only with a demonstrated record of self-development and continuous learning.4+ years related automated equipment experience.
  • Experience with control and power wiring. Experience with low and high voltage power.
  • Equivalency: Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Ability to work well with minimal direction.
  • Ability to work well with minimal direction and within Teams.
  • Proven solid understanding electrical systems and industrial automation.
  • Determines root cause of failures and problems with automation equipment.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to efficiently present information in one-on-one and small group situations and to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to address practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Able to recognize problems developing, not just occurring.
  • Demonstrates ability to develop skills, learns time management, sets goals and meets them.
