Inklusjonskriterier:

  • Oppfylte inklusjonskriteriene på tidspunktet for inntreden i induksjonsstudien og fullførte uke 12 effektvurderinger av induksjonsstudien
  • I klinisk respons og/eller klinisk remisjon og/eller en gjennomsnittlig daglig avføringsfrekvensscore ≤ 3 og en gjennomsnittlig magesmerterscore ≤ 1 med magesmerter og avføringsfrekvens ikke dårligere enn baseline ved uke 12 av induksjonsstudien

Ekskluderingskriterier:

  • Delvis eller total kolektomi, tynntarmsreseksjon eller stomi siden dag 1 av induksjonsstudiene eller har utviklet en symptomatisk fistel
  • Hadde en rektal steroidbehandling, rektale 5-aminosalisylater, parenterale kortikosteroider, immunmodulerende midler, undersøkelsesmidler eller aferese

I SES-CD vurderes hver av disse 4 komponentene i de fem segmentene: ileum, høyre tykktarm, tverrgående tykktarm, venstre tykktarm og endetarm. SES-CD vurderte graden av betennelse. SES-CD vurderer følgende 4 komponenter: størrelse på magesår, magesår, påvirket overflate og tilstedeværelse av innsnevring. Hver av disse komponentene ble scoret i en skala fra 0 (ingen/upåvirket) til 3 (verste). I SES-CD vurderes hver av disse 4 komponentene i de fem segmentene: ileum, høyre tykktarm, tverrgående tykktarm, venstre tykktarm og endetarm. SES-CD var summen av de individuelle score til hver av komponentene i de fem segmentene. Utvalget av SES -CD -score var 0 - 12 for hvert segment, og 0 - 60 for den totale SES -CD -poengsum, med større score som indikerer større grad av betennelse. Baseline ble definert som den siste vurderingen før starttidspunktet for First Drug Administration hvis målingstidspunktet er tilgjengelig ellers den siste vurderingen før eller på datoen for First Drug Administration.

CDEIS er en indeks for å bestemme alvorlighetsgraden av Crohns sykdom med endoskopisk lokalisering til ileum og tykktarm. CDEIS deler tarmen inn i 5 segmenter: endetarm, sigmoid og venstre tykktarm, tverrgående tykktarm, høyre tykktarm og ileum. Fire variabler blir vurdert i hvert segment: tilstedeværelsen av dyp magesår, tilstedeværelsen av overfladisk magesår, prosentandelen av magesår og prosentandelen av overflaten som er påvirket av Cd, indikert på 10 cm visuell analoge skalaer. I tillegg vurderes også tilstedeværelsen av magesåret stenose og tilstedeværelsen av ikke -ulcert stenose over hele tarmen. Disse faktorene vektes og summeres for å beregne den totale poengsummen fra 0-44, med høyere score som indikerer mer alvorlig sykdom.

Magesmerter (AP) og avføringsfrekvens (SF) klinisk remisjon ble definert som gjennomsnittlig daglig magesmerter i magen ≤ 1 poeng, og gjennomsnittlig daglig avføringsfrekvens ≤3 ganger med AP og SF ikke verre enn baseline. Deltakerne skrev inn svar i dagbøker daglig. De 7 dagers oppføringene før besøk ble vurdert for å beregne gjennomsnittlig AP -poengsum og SF. AP ble gradert på alvorlighetsgraden av 0 (ingen) til 3 (alvorlig) skala og SF var definert antall væske eller myke avføring per dag. SES-CD-poengsum er en måte å måle hvor alvorlig en persons tarmsykdom er. Det ser på fem forskjellige deler av tarmen. Hver får en poengsum fra 0 til 3 basert på hvor dårlig sykdommen er. Disse score blir deretter lagt sammen for en total score fra 0 til 60. Høyere score indikerer mer alvorlig sykdom.
