- symptomatic de novo multiple myeloma
- less than 65 years of age
- enrolled in the IFM/DFCI clinical trial
Exclusion Criteria:
- 66 years of age or more
- not eligible for high-dose therapy
- Cons-indications to MRI or PET-Scan
