Inklusionskriterier:

  • Type 2-diabetes, HbA1c > 7,0 % og < 10,0 %, gennemsnitlig serumtriglycerid < 600 mg/dL, body mass index < 41 kg/m2, fastende c-peptid. 1,5 ng/ml.

Ekskluderingskriterier:

  • Anamnese med MI (myokardieinfarkt), koronar angioplastik eller bypasstransplantat(er), klapsygdom eller reparation, ustabil angina pectoris, forbigående iskæmisk anfald (TIA), cerebrovaskulært angreb eller cerebrovaskulær ulykke (CVA) inden for 6 måneder, kongestiv hjertesvigt ( NYHA klasse III og IV, ukontrolleret hypertension, anamnese eller nyresygdom, perifer vaskulær sygdom (PVD), lungesygdom, gastrointestinal sygdom, aktiv leversygdom eller endokrin sygdom.
