Beschreibung
Einschlusskriterien:
- Männliche oder weibliche Probanden, die älter als das gesetzliche Mindestalter für Erwachsene sind (länderspezifisch);
- Akute symptomatische proximale TVT und/oder symptomatische LE, bestätigt an der Stelle durch geeignete diagnostische Bildgebung;
- Kann eine schriftliche Einverständniserklärung abgeben
Ausschlusskriterien:
- Thrombektomie, Einsetzen eines Kavalenfilters oder Verwendung eines Fibrinolytikums zur Behandlung der aktuellen Episode von TVT und/oder LE;
- Mehr als 48 Stunden Vorbehandlung mit gerinnungshemmender Therapie vor Randomisierung;
- Berechnete Kreatinin-Clearance (CrCL) < 30 ml/min;
- signifikante Lebererkrankung (z. B. akute Hepatitis, chronisch aktive Hepatitis, Zirrhose) oder Alanintransaminase (ALT) >\= 2-mal die Obergrenze des Normalwerts (ULN) oder Gesamtbilirubin (TBL) x 1,5-mal die ULN;
- Patienten mit aktivem Krebs, für die eine Langzeitbehandlung mit (LMW) Heparin erwartet wird;
- aktive Blutung oder hohes Blutungsrisiko, die eine Behandlung mit (LMW) Heparin oder Warfarin kontraindizieren;
- chronische Behandlung mit nicht-steroidalen entzündungshemmenden Arzneimitteln (NSAIDs), die kein Aspirin sind;
- Behandlung mit Aspirin in einer Dosierung von mehr als 100 mg/Tag oder duale Thrombozytenaggregationshemmung;
- gleichzeitige Behandlung mit potenten P-gp-Inhibitoren;
- Probanden mit einem Zustand, der nach Einschätzung des Prüfarztes den Probanden einem erhöhten Schadensrisiko aussetzen würde, wenn er/sie an der Studie teilnehmen würde
