この研究の目的は次のとおりです。1) グリカンと脂質に特に重点を置き、授乳の初期段階における母乳の組成と構造について理解を深める。 2) ビフィズス菌種に重点を置いて、グリカンの多様性が母親と乳児の腸内細菌叢にどのように関係しているか。 3) 母乳の組成と構造が母体の健康と食事にどのように関係するか。
これらのサンプルは、包括的なガスおよび液体クロマトグラフィー手法、核磁気共鳴 (NMR) 分光法、および質量分析 (MS) を使用して分析されます。次世代シークエンシング、末端制限フラグメント長多型、および定量的ポリメラーゼ連鎖反応。
主要な研究にはいくつかのコホートがあります。

妊娠糖尿病、2型糖尿病、または耐糖能障害と診断された女性がこのコホートに登録されます。
参加者は、自宅で血糖計を使って空腹時および食後血糖値をモニタリングしている場合、その結果を報告するよう求められます。
