身体活動の既知の利点にもかかわらず、カナダ人の大多数は推奨されるガイドラインを満たしていません.
軸性脊椎関節炎 (axSpA) の患者も、推奨されるガイドラインを満たしていません。
身体活動の重要な要素である運動は、axSpA 管理の基礎と考えられています。
携帯電話のメッセージや電子メールなどの単純な健康技術は、一般市民や慢性疾患患者の間で定期的な身体活動への関与を高めるのに役立つツールになり得ます。
そのため、この研究プロジェクトの目的は、身体活動の重要性に関する教育を提供し、身体活動への定期的な参加を奨励するために既存の健康技術 (スマートフォン アプリケーションなど) を利用する、患者中心の戦略を開発およびテストすることです。
この研究の結果は、axSpA患者が身体活動への日々の関与を増やし、それによって症状、機能、および全体的な生活の質を改善することを実証することが期待されています.

介入なし:対照群
対照群に無作為に割り付けられた参加者は通常のケアを受けます。これには、標準的なリウマチ治療と、TWH 脊椎炎プログラムおよびパブリック ドメインを通じて利用可能な運動と身体活動の重要性に関する教材へのアクセスが含まれます。
彼らは、ベースラインで身体活動教育モジュールへのリンクを受け取ります。
また、患者または治療中のリウマチ専門医の要求に応じて、1 時間の個別運動相談のためにプログラム理学療法士にアクセスすることもできます。
