EPASS는 다기관, 전향적, 무작위 및 통제 연구입니다.
연구에 참여하기 전에 환자에게 알리고 서면 동의를 제공해야 합니다. 또한 환자는 모든 선택 기준을 충족해야 합니다. 조사관은 모든 선택 기준이 충족되었는지 확인해야 합니다. 그런 다음 환자는 심박 조율기 모델 T70 또는 Selection 9000(또는 이후 버전)을 받는 심박 조율기 이식을 받습니다.
연구에 적격인 환자가 등록되고 장치 이식 전에 광내 심방 전도 지연 평가에 제출됩니다. 게다가 그들은 심각한 RA 전도 지연 또는 정상적인 전도 지연이 있는 그룹에 할당됩니다. 두 그룹에 대한 페이싱 사이트의 무작위화는 환자의 관련 질병, 성별 및 연령과 함께 우심방 전도 지연의 값에 따라 달라집니다. 이식 후 리드를 안정화하려면 3-5주의 안정화 단계가 필요합니다. 이 기간 동안 의사는 장치 매개변수를 최적화할 수 있습니다. AF 에피소드나 심율동 전환에 관한 데이터는 수집되지 않습니다.
안정화 단계가 끝나면 환자는 1차 연구 후속 조치를 받고 2년 동안 지속되는 모니터링 기간을 시작합니다. 정기적인 후속 조치 및 데이터 수집은 6개월마다 예정되어 있습니다.
