상세 설명
ACTIVE는 4군, 단일 맹검, 무작위 통제 시험이었습니다. ACTIVE의 주요 목표는 기본 인지 측정 및 인지적으로 까다로운 일상 활동 측정(예: 음식 준비, 운전, 약물 사용, 재정 관리)에 대한 노인의 성과를 개선하는 세 가지 인지 개입의 효과와 지속성을 테스트하는 것이었습니다. 이러한 개입은 이전에 실험실 또는 소규모 현장 조건에서 인지 능력을 개선하는 데 성공한 것으로 밝혀졌습니다.
세 가지 중재는 다음과 같은 공통 설계 특징을 공유했습니다. 1) 동등한 강도 및 기간; 2) 60-75분 10회 세션의 소그룹 설정; 3) 문제 해결, 기억 또는 정보에 대한 신속한 대응을 위한 전략에 집중합니다. 4) 전략 사용의 모델링 및 시연; 5) 예시 문제에 대한 연습; 6) 개인 및 그룹 연습; 7) 성과에 대한 피드백; 8) 수행에 대한 자기효능감 함양; 9) 실제 작업에 전략을 적용합니다. 10) 개별화된 교육 경험 및 11) 사회적 상호작용 활동. 세 가지 개입 모두에서 세션 1-5는 전략 지침과 전략을 실행하기 위한 연습에 중점을 두었습니다. 세션 6-10은 추가 연습을 제공했지만 새로운 전략은 도입되지 않았습니다. 10개 세션 각각에 대한 콘텐츠는 트레이너 매뉴얼에 스크립트로 작성되었습니다.
개입:

- 기억 훈련은 특정 시간에 특정 장소에서 획득한 정보의 획득 및 인출을 다루는 언어적 일화 기억에 초점을 맞춥니다. 참가자들은 항목의 목록과 순서, 텍스트 자료, 주요 아이디어와 이야기의 세부 사항 및 기타 텍스트 기반 정보를 기억하기 위한 니모닉 전략을 배웠습니다. 훈련 연습에는 쇼핑 목록 불러오기와 같은 일상 활동과 관련된 작업뿐만 아니라 실험실과 같은 일화 기억 작업을 불러오는 것이 포함되었습니다.
- 속도 훈련은 시각적 검색과 시각적 정보를 신속하게 식별하고 찾는 능력에 초점을 맞추었습니다. 참가자들은 컴퓨터에서 속도가 빠른 작업을 연습하고 더 복잡한 작업을 진행할 수 있었고 자신의 속도에 따라 프레젠테이션 속도를 점점 더 빠르게 할 수 있었습니다.
- 대조군은 교육을 받지 않았습니다.
또한 참가자들이 초기 훈련에서 얻은 이득을 유지하고 인지 능력을 더욱 향상시킬 수 있도록 부스터 훈련을 제공했습니다. 기본 교육 후 11개월 및 35-36개월에 교육 참가자의 약 50%의 무작위 샘플에 부스터 교육이 제공되었습니다.
참가자 참여에는 기준선, 개입 직후, 12, 24, 36 및 60개월에 수행된 평가가 포함되었습니다. 평가는 개인 및 그룹 세션에서 수행되었습니다. 개입 그룹으로 무작위 배정된 참가자의 경우 개입은 5-6주 동안 60-75분씩 10회 세션으로 소그룹 환경에서 수행되었습니다. 이들은 약리학적 요소가 없는 행동 중재였습니다. 초기 교육을 제공한 지 11개월 후, 초기 교육을 받은 피험자 중 60%를 무작위로 선택하여 3개 중재군 모두에서 부스터 교육을 제공했습니다. 부스터 교육은 2-3주 동안 75분 세션 4회로 진행되었습니다.
