Description
Inclusion Criteria:
- preterm infants mechanically ventilated
- requiring peripherally induced central catheterization
- with informed consent of their parents
Exclusion Criteria:
- major congenital anomalies
- cardiopulmonary instability
- use of sedative, antiepileptic drugs or anesthetic drugs
- grade III or IV intraventricular hemorrhage
