The study population will consist of adult patients aged 40 years and older diagnosed with cataract and scheduled for phacoemulsification surgery at Assiut University Hospital.

Description

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Age equals to or above 40 years old
  • cataract patient
  • suitable for phacoemulsification
  • clear corneal media

Exclusion Criteria:

  • previous corneal surgery
  • advanced glaucoma
  • corneal pathology (keratoconus, scarring)
  • retinal disease affecting vision
  • irregular astigmatism
  • contact lens use within the last 2 weeks
