Inklusionskriterier:
- Er blevet testet positiv eller mistænkt/formodet positiv for CoViD-19
- Patienter med hoste, åndenød eller respiratorisk kompromittering (RR>24/min, øget vejrtrækningsarbejde).
- O2-mætning mindre end eller lig med 96 % på rumluft eller følelse
- Indvilliger i at bruge gammaCore®-Sapphire-enheden efter hensigten og at følge alle kravene i undersøgelsen, inklusive registrering af påkrævede undersøgelsesdata
- Patienten er i stand til at give underskrevet og bevidnet informeret samtykke
Ekskluderingskriterier:
- På hjemme-/behandlingsilt (dvs. for KOL-patienter) ved baseline før udvikling af CoViD-19
- Er allerede tilmeldt et klinisk forsøg med immunterapeutisk regime for CoViD-19
- Allerede gammaCore for andre medicinske tilstande
- En historie med aneurisme, intrakraniel blødning, hjernetumorer eller betydelige hovedtraumer
- Kendt eller mistænkt alvorlig aterosklerotisk kardiovaskulær sygdom, alvorlig halspulsåresygdom (f.eks. blå mærker eller historie med forbigående iskæmisk anfald eller cerebrovaskulær ulykke), kongestiv hjertesvigt, kendt alvorlig koronararteriesygdom eller nyligt myokardieinfarkt
- Ukontrolleret højt blodtryk (>140/90)
- Aktuel implantation af en elektrisk og/eller neurostimulatoranordning, inklusive men ikke begrænset til en pacemaker eller defibrillator, vagal neurostimulator, dyb hjernestimulator, spinalstimulator, knoglevækststimulator eller cochleært implantat
- Aktuel implantation af metal cervikal rygsøjle hardware eller et metallisk implantat nær gammaCore-stimuleringsstedet
- Tilhører en sårbar befolkning eller har en tilstand, således at hans eller hendes evne til at give informeret samtykke, overholde opfølgningskravene eller give selvevalueringer kompromitteres (f. hjemløse, udviklingshæmmede og fanger)
- Kompromitteret adgang til perifer vene for blod)
