EEG til overvågning af propofolbedøvelsesdybde hos spædbørn og småbørn
Målet med denne undersøgelse er at overvåge anæstesidybden hos børn, der gennemgår propofolbedøvelse ved hjælp af elektroencefalografi (EEG). De vigtigste spørgsmål, den sigter mod at besvare er:
- EEG sepctral edge frequency (SEF) aflæsninger, hvor 50 % af patienterne ikke reagerer på tre stimuli.
- Den propofol-blodkoncentration, der svarer til hver af de tre EEG SEF-aflæsninger. Deltagerne vil gennemgå EEG-monitorering, stimuli (placering af oral sut, elektrisk stimulation og laryngoskopi) og blodopsamling.

Beskrivelse
Inklusionskriterier:
- Børn i alderen 3 til 24 måneder under operation.
- Planlagt laryngoskopi og endotracheal intubation til klinisk pleje.
- Planlagt propofol anæstesi til vedligeholdelse af anæstesi.
- ASA < III.
- Muskelafslappende middel er ikke indiceret pr. planlagt klinisk behandling til laryngoskopi/intubation.
- Forventet operationsvarighed ca. < 2t40min
Ekskluderingskriterier:
- Patienter under akut operation.
- Kendt alvorlig neurologisk sygdom, som kan resultere i unormal EEG SEF.
- Deformiteter i panden (svær EEG-sensorplacering).
- Kendt vanskelige luftveje.
- Allergi over for propofol.
- Tilstedeværende anæstesiolog på journal, pleje af patienten planlægger at administrere yderligere IV-medicin udover propofol i studiefasen.
- I øjeblikket på anti-anfaldsmedicin (kan ændre propofols farmakodynamik).
