The Effect of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) Protocol Education on Nursing Students' Knowledge Levels and Attitudes Toward Evidence-Based Nursing
Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) is an evidence-based approach increasingly used in surgical care to improve recovery and reduce postoperative complications. Strengthening nursing students' knowledge of ERAS principles and supporting positive attitudes toward evidence-based nursing are considered important for future professional practice.
This quasi-experimental study was designed to evaluate the effect of ERAS protocol education on nursing students' knowledge levels and attitudes toward evidence-based nursing. The study population consists of undergraduate nursing students enrolled at a university. Data are being collected using a demographic questionnaire, an ERAS knowledge assessment tool, and an evidence-based nursing attitude scale before and after the educational intervention. Statistical analyses are planned to evaluate changes in knowledge levels and attitudes following the intervention.

Inclusion Criteria:
- Being a 4th-year nursing student
- Actively attending clinical internship during the study period
- Voluntary participation in the study after being informed
- Willingness to complete pre-test, educational intervention, and follow-up assessments (1 week and 1 month)
Exclusion Criteria:
- Not being a 4th-year nursing student
- Inability to attend education or assessment sessions regularly
- Refusal to participate in the study
- Withdrawal from the study during the process
- Incomplete participation in education or measurement sessions

Eksperimentel: ERAS Education Group
Nursing students will receive structured education on the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocol.
The intervention will include theoretical training sessions.
No clinical intervention will be applied.
Participants' knowledge and attitudes will be assessed before and after the intervention.

ERAS Knowledge Score

|
Knowledge regarding the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocol will be assessed using a 20-item structured questionnaire developed for this study.
Total scores will range from 0 to 100, with higher scores indicating greater knowledge of ERAS principles.

Evidence-Based Nursing Attitude Score

|
Attitudes toward evidence-based nursing will be assessed using a Likert-type Evidence-Based Nursing Attitude Scale.
Participants will rate items on a 5-point Likert scale.
Higher total scores will indicate more positive attitudes toward evidence-based nursing practice.
