- 환자는 여성이어야 합니다.
- 환자는 18세 이상이어야 합니다.
- 환자의 임상 병기는 종양 크기가 5cm 미만이고 만져지는 결절이 없고 전이성 질환의 증거(T1 또는 T2 N0 M0; 병기 기준은 부록 참조)가 없으며 종양이 종양 절제술이 가능한 것으로 기록되어 있어야 합니다.
- 환자는 침윤성 유방암에 대한 조직 진단을 받아야 합니다. 참고: 환자가 만져지거나 만져지지 않는 유방 병변의 세침 흡인(FNA)에서 암종을 시사하는 세포학적 진단을 받고 연구자가 유방 병변이 임상적으로 침윤성 유방암에 대해 의심된다고 믿는 경우 환자는 이 연구에 등록할 수 있습니다. .
- 침윤성 유방 암종의 환자의 첫 번째 조직 진단 날짜 또는 암종의 세포학적 진단 날짜는 SLND 이전 60일을 넘지 않아야 합니다.

- ALND에 무작위 배정된 환자는 SLND로부터 42일 이내에 ALND를 받아야 합니다.
이전 악성 종양의 병력이 있는 환자는 환자가 암 생존자에 대한 다음 기준을 충족하는 한 이 연구에 적합합니다. 암 생존자는 다음 기준을 충족하는 경우 자격이 있습니다.
- 환자는 이전의 모든 악성 종양에 대해 잠재적으로 치유 가능한 치료를 받았고,

- 환자 또는 환자의 법적으로 허용되는 대리인은 등록 및 모든 연구 관련 절차 이전에 서명되고 날짜가 기재된 서면 동의서를 제공해야 합니다.
- 환자는 보호 대상 건강 정보의 사용 및 공개를 허용하는 서면 승인을 제공해야 합니다. 참고: 이는 연구별 동의서 또는 별도의 승인 양식으로 얻을 수 있으며 연구 등록 전에 환자로부터 받아야 합니다.
제외 기준:
- 환자가 수유 중입니다(모유 수유).
- 환자는 이전에 이 침윤성 유방암에 대해 화학 요법, 에스트로겐 수용체 길항제(즉, Tamoxifen) 또는 선택적 에스트로겐 수용체 조절제(SERM, 즉, Raloxifene)로 치료를 받았습니다.
- 환자는 이전에 배치한 가슴전 유방 보형물을 가지고 있습니다. 참고: 흉부하 이식이 허용됩니다.
- 환자는 동시 침습성 양측 유방 악성종양을 가지고 있습니다.
