Deelname Criteria

Onderzoekers zoeken naar mensen die aan een bepaalde beschrijving voldoen, de zogenaamde geschiktheidscriteria. Enkele voorbeelden van deze criteria zijn iemands algemene gezondheidstoestand of eerdere behandelingen.

Inclusiecriteria:

  • Proefpersonen met IPF die ≥ 40 jaar oud zijn op het moment van ondertekening van de geïnformeerde toestemming
  • Diagnose van IPF binnen 7 jaar voorafgaand aan screening, ondersteund door centraal afgelezen thoraxcomputertomografie met hoge resolutie (HRCT), verkregen bij screening en verificatie van gebruikelijke interstitiële pneumonie.
  • Als deelnemers pirfenidon of nintedanib gebruiken, moeten de deelnemers gedurende ten minste 90 dagen voorafgaand aan de screening een stabiele dosis hebben gehad
  • Als de deelnemers momenteel niet pirfenidon of nintedanib gebruiken, mogen zij geen van deze medicijnen binnen 28 dagen voorafgaand aan de screening hebben ontvangen.
  • Vrouwen die zwanger kunnen worden, moeten een zeer effectieve vorm van anticonceptie hebben en een negatieve zwangerschapstest in urine/serum overleggen
  • Mannen die seksueel actief zijn met vrouwen die zwanger kunnen worden, stemmen ermee in mannelijke barrière-anticonceptie te gebruiken

Uitsluitingscriteria:

  • Voorgeschiedenis van een beroerte of TIA binnen 3 maanden voorafgaand aan de screening
  • Significante hartziekte binnen 6 maanden voorafgaand aan de screening, naar goeddunken van de onderzoeker
  • Deelnemers die een huidige maligniteit of een eerdere maligniteit hebben in de afgelopen 5 jaar voorafgaand aan de screening, behalve degenen met een gedocumenteerde voorgeschiedenis van genezen niet-gemetastaseerd plaveiselcelhuidcarcinoom, basaalcelhuidcarcinoom of baarmoederhalscarcinoom in situ.

Opmerking: andere in het protocol gedefinieerde opname-/uitsluitingscriteria zijn van toepassing
