Hode- og nakkekreft er utbredt i Taiwan, og munnhulekreft er det vanligste stedet. Avansert behandling av munnhulekreft øker overlevelsesraten; Det øker imidlertid også risikoen for å utvikle skulderdysfunksjon, dysfagi, oral dysfunksjon, morbiditet på donorstedet og psykologiske problemer. Sannsynligheten for skulderdysfunksjon etter nakkedisseksjon er så høy som 70 %. Rehabiliteringseffekter på skulderfunksjon for hode- og nakkeoverlevende er nødvendig for videre studier.
Formålet med denne randomiserte kliniske studien er å utforske effekten av rehabilitering for skulderfunksjon hos overlevende oral kreft. Vi skal rekruttere 60 nydiagnostiserte kreftpasienter gjennom plastikkirurgens henvisning fra april 2018 til mars 2020. Deltakerne vil bli randomisert delt inn i eksperimentell eller kontrollgruppe. Hver gruppe vil motta regelmessig fysioterapi for skulderfunksjon (dvs. transkutan elektrisk stimulering, bevegelsesutslag i skulderleddet, trening for styrket skulderblad). Eksperimentell gruppe vil bli supplert med motorisk kontrollterapi rettet mot den progressive motstandsøvelsen i skulderbladsmuskelen (trening pluss manuell terapi).
