O câncer de cabeça e pescoço é prevalente em Taiwan, e o câncer oral é o local mais comum. O tratamento avançado do câncer oral aumenta as taxas de sobrevivência; no entanto, também aumenta o risco de desenvolver disfunção do ombro, disfagia, disfunção oral, morbidade do local doador e problemas psicológicos. A probabilidade de disfunção do ombro após o esvaziamento cervical é de até 70%. Os efeitos da reabilitação na função do ombro para sobreviventes de cabeça e pescoço são necessários para mais estudos.
O objetivo deste ensaio clínico randomizado é explorar os efeitos da reabilitação para a função do ombro em sobreviventes de câncer oral. Recrutaremos 60 indivíduos com câncer bucal recém-diagnosticados por indicação do cirurgião plástico de abril de 2018 a março de 2020. Os participantes serão randomizados separados em grupo experimental ou controle. Cada grupo receberia fisioterapia regular para a função do ombro (ou seja, estimulação elétrica transcutânea, exercício de amplitude de movimento da articulação do ombro, treinamento de fortalecimento da musculatura escapular). O grupo experimental seria suplementado por terapia de controle motor visando o exercício de resistência progressiva do músculo escapular (exercício mais terapia manual).

- Disposto a assinar o consentimento informado
- Comunicar-se suficientemente na língua chinesa
- Ser capaz de seguir instruções
- Câncer bucal recém-diagnosticado
- Disfunção do ombro acessório espinhal
Critério de exclusão:
- Mulher grávida ou amamentando
- Deficiência cognitiva
- doença nervosa central
- Metástase à distância ou recorrência
- Uma história de dor no ombro ou patologia conhecida no ombro
- Incapaz de se comunicar ou compreender os questionários
