Description
Inclusion Criteria:
- (1) being a full-time student in the first year of the nursing program; (2) being capable to communicate in Cantonese; (3) providing voluntary written informed consent to participate in the study.
Exclusion Criteria:
- (1) having prior work experience in a dedicated aged care setting (e.g., as a nursing assistant in a nursing home); (2) having a planned absence during the intervention period that would cause them to miss more than two sessions of the program.

Experimental: Phase 1: Intervention Group
A PERMA Model-Based Community Practice Program
|
The 12-hour clinical practice program is guided by the Positive Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, and Accomplishments (PERMA) framework.
The intervention group undergoes an orientation, three practicum sessions, and a reflective session.

Other: Phase 1: Wait-list Control
A wait-list comparator

The wait-list control group will not receive any intervention for the first 3-month period.

Experimental: Phase 2: Optimized Single-Arm
A Capability-Opportunity-Motivation-Behavior (COM-B) Model Based Community Practicum Program

The participants receive a 80-hour Capability-Opportunity-Motivation-Behavior (COM-B) Model Based Community Practicum Program.

Career motivation will be assessed in phase one and two using the Situation Motivation Scale (SIMS) questionnaire.
