Inklusionskriterier:
- Alder 18 år eller ældre
- HIV-smittet
- HBV-inficeret, defineret som ethvert enkelt positivt HBsAg-assay
- Naiv til antiretroviral behandling eller deltager i øjeblikket i HIV/HBV co-infektion i IeDEA-SA
Ekskluderingskriterier:
- Ude af stand eller vilje til at give informeret samtykke
- Planlægger at flytte ud af Lusaka-distriktet

Måling af leverfibrose ved hjælp af AST-til-blodpladeforholdsindeks (APRI), Fibrose 4 (FIB-4) og forbigående elastografi.
Konstatering af potentielle risikofaktorer, herunder demografi, alkoholbrug, HIV-relaterede biomarkører, HBV-DNA, hepatitis delta-virus og andre faktorer.
