Atazanavir til HIV-inficerede individer: et program for tidlig adgang

Formålet med dette kliniske forskningsstudie er at give atazanavir til patienter inficeret med humant immundefektvirus (HIV), hvis antivirale medicin ikke længere virker på at kontrollere HIV-aktiviteten i kroppen, og som ikke er i stand til at skabe et nyt behandlingsregime ved hjælp af andre tilgængelige anti- HIV-medicin på grund af enten bivirkninger eller behandlingssvigt tidligere taget. Sikkerheden ved denne behandling vil også blive undersøgt.

Nøglekriterier for inklusion:

Patienter, der er kvalificerede til at blive inkluderet i EAP, er dem, der er en virologisk svigt på grund af resistens, intolerance og/eller adhærensproblemer med nuværende anti-HIV-medicin;
ELLER har flere toksiciteter eller intolerance over for deres anti-HIV-medicin, men er ikke en virologisk fejl;
ELLER har alvorligt forhøjede lipider i blodet (f.eks. kolesterol, triglycerider), som ikke reagerer på lipidsænkende medicin.

Nøgleekskluderingskriterier:

Der gælder begrænsninger for brugen af atazanavir sammen med specifik medicin, som kan have potentiale til at forårsage mulige bivirkninger, når de tages sammen.
Patienter vil også blive udelukket af en af følgende årsager: 1) graviditet eller amning, 2) forhøjede leverenzymer, 3) signifikant kardiovaskulær sygdom eller 4) andre restriktioner som angivet i protokollen.
