Deltagerne vil gennemføre et online randomiseret eksperiment mellem emner. Forsøget vil omfatte tre studiebesøg.
I det første studiebesøg vil deltagerne gennemføre en online indkøbsopgave uden indblanding. Deltagerne får et budget på $50 og bliver bedt om at handle, som de plejer. Butikken vil registrere deltagernes valg. Efter at have gennemført indkøbsopgaven vil deltagerne udfylde en online-undersøgelse.
Cirka en uge senere vil deltagerne gennemføre et andet studiebesøg med de samme instruktioner. De vil blive randomiseret til 1 af 4 tilstande (1) kun sundhed, 2) kun miljø, 3) kombineret sundhed og miljø, 4) kontrol. I tilstanden udelukkende til sundhed vil deltagerne se etiketter med sundhedskarakterer og kan blive bedt om at bytte deres valg til sundere varer. I den miljømæssige tilstand vil deltagerne se etiketter med klimapåvirkningsgrader og kan blive bedt om at bytte deres valg til mere bæredygtige varer. I sundheds- og miljøtilstanden vil deltagerne se etiketter med sundheds- og klimapåvirkningsgrader og kan blive bedt om at bytte deres valg til sundere eller mere bæredygtige varer. I kontrolgruppen vil deltagerne ikke se nogen etiketter eller bytte. Butikken vil registrere deltagernes valg. Efter at have gennemført indkøbsopgaven vil deltagerne udfylde en online-undersøgelse.
I det tredje studiebesøg vil deltagerne fastholde deres tildelte gruppe og vil blive bedt om at gentage de samme opgaver som ved det andet besøg.

Eksperimentel: Sundhedswaps
Etiketter vil være "ernæringskvaliteter" til produkter og udskiftning af swap -forslag vil være til varer med en bedre ernæringskvalitet.

Deltagerne vil se "sundhedsgrad"-etiketter på alle produkter i online-købmandsbutikken, der angiver deres sundhed som estimeret af United Kingdom Ofcom Nutrient Profiling Model-resultater.
Sundhedsscore-etiketterne vil efterligne Nutri-Score-etiketter, et mærkningssystem, der bruges i nogle europæiske lande, som viser en farvekodet karakter fra "A" (grøn) til "F" (rød) på hvert produkt.

Eksperimentel: Klimaswaps
Etiketter vil være "klimakvaliteter" for produkter og udskiftning af swap -forslag vil være til genstande med en bedre klimakvalitet.

Deltagerne vil se "Klima -klasse" -etiketter på alle produkter, der angiver deres klimapåvirkning.
Klimapåvirkningen beregnes som drivhusgasemissionerne forbundet med fremstilling af produktet i kuldioxidækvivalenter (CO2-EQ) pr. 100 g (dvs. "carbon footprint").

The study will asses healthfulness of participants' selections as the average Ofcom Nutrient Profiling Model score of the products the participants select in the shopping task.
The score ranges from 0 to 100, where higher scores are healthier.
