Descrição detalhada
Os participantes irão completar um experimento randomizado online entre sujeitos. O experimento envolverá três visitas de estudo.
Na primeira visita de estudo, os participantes concluirão uma tarefa de compras online em supermercados sem intervenção. Os participantes receberão um orçamento de US$ 50 e serão solicitados a fazer compras normalmente. A loja registrará as seleções dos participantes. Depois de concluir a tarefa de compras, os participantes responderão a uma pesquisa online.
Aproximadamente uma semana depois, os participantes completarão uma segunda visita de estudo com as mesmas instruções. Eles serão randomizados para 1 de 4 condições (1) apenas saúde, 2) apenas ambiente, 3) saúde e meio ambiente combinados, 4) controle. Na condição apenas de saúde, os participantes visualizarão rótulos com notas de saúde e poderão ser orientados a trocar suas seleções por itens mais saudáveis. Na condição apenas ambiental, os participantes visualizarão rótulos com notas de impacto climático e poderão ser orientados a trocar suas seleções por itens mais sustentáveis. Na condição de saúde e meio ambiente, os participantes visualizarão rótulos com notas de impacto na saúde e no clima e poderão ser orientados a trocar suas seleções por itens mais saudáveis ou mais sustentáveis. No grupo de controle, os participantes não visualizarão nenhum rótulo ou troca. A loja registrará as seleções dos participantes. Depois de concluir a tarefa de compras, os participantes responderão a uma pesquisa online.
Na terceira visita de estudo, os participantes manterão o grupo designado e serão solicitados a repetir as mesmas tarefas da segunda visita.

Experimental: Swaps de saúde
Os rótulos serão "graus nutricionais" para produtos e sugestões de troca de substituição serão para itens com uma melhor nota nutricional.

Os participantes verão rótulos de “grau de saúde” em todos os produtos no supermercado on-line, indicando sua salubridade, conforme estimado pelas pontuações do Modelo de Perfil Nutricional Ofcom do Reino Unido.
Os rótulos de pontuação de saúde imitarão os rótulos Nutri-Score, um sistema de rotulagem usado em alguns países europeus, mostrando uma classificação codificada por cores de “A” (verde) a “F” (vermelho) em cada produto.
Os produtos com rótulos "A" e "B" atenderão ao limite do Reino Unido para produtos que podem ser comercializados para crianças e os produtos com rótulos "C", "D" e "F" são menos saudáveis do que esse limite (com base nos tercis do Ofcom pontuações dentro de cada grupo de alimentos).

Experimental: Swaps climáticos

Os participantes visualizarão os rótulos de "grau climático" em todos os produtos, indicando seu impacto climático.
O impacto climático é calculado como as emissões de gases de efeito estufa associadas à produção do produto em equivalentes de dióxido de carbono (CO2-EQ) por 100g (ou seja, "pegada de carbono").
Os rótulos serão aplicados com base em quintis de pegadas de carbono em cada grupo de alimentos.
Quando os participantes tentam adicionar um produto de alto impacto de clima ao carrinho (por exemplo, com um "C", "D" ou "F" Rótulo climático), a loja oferecerá automaticamente swaps para produtos mais favoráveis ao clima (por exemplo, com um rótulo "A" ou "B").

The study will asses healthfulness of participants' selections as the average Ofcom Nutrient Profiling Model score of the products the participants select in the shopping task.
The score ranges from 0 to 100, where higher scores are healthier.
Outcome values were calculated as each participant's mean across visits 2 and 3.
If participants had missing data at one of these visits, data from the non-missing visit was used.
